Regardless if you are new to West Valley Little League (WELCOME!) or if you are a returning member of our very special community (WELCOME BACK!) we are excited to have our Spring 2020 Registration open to the public! West Valley is a long standing (and the largest) Little League here in the valley and we take that responsibility to heart. All efforts are volunteer led and driven by people that provide their time, expertise and simply put ...love for the sport.
If you are a returning member you will have undoubtedly noticed that our fees have increased. The decision and criteria we used as a Board of Directors was based primarily on the following factors:
1. A consistent increase in Cost of Goods (equipment, materials)
2. Aging facilities/infrastructure
WVLL has been managed with extremely sound fiscal discipline and true to our Idaho roots, we have built and maintained our infrastructure with frugality. That will not change but we are in a position where we are having to do more with less.
Raising registration allows us to:
1. Continue to provide the best possible environment for the children
2. Fix our aging infrastructure (across multiple fields, facilities)
3. Address our rising costs
Updates to our existing scoreboard(s), a replacement scoreboard for Field 2, bleachers for Softball Field 3, fixing our roofs and providing better services all around are just a few of the categories in which the additional fees will go toward. Even considering this rise in registration we are still well below the average for Little League Registration fees. Our goal is to keep it that way, with help from our Community.
All families can participate in payment plans and we offer up and provide scholarship for families in need. If the costs are burdensome then please reach out directly to our President: [email protected]. We can help and we have options to do so.
So much of what we have has been provided by the generosity of others. If you are interested in providing sponsorship for the WVLL we have multiple options for you. Check the website as we build up our Sponsorship and Fundraising Programs for 2020.
